Writer for local newspaper Married 1
I taught at Wheatland High school until the 73-74 school year.  Even though I was pregnant with my daughter, I "bravely" managed to teach four classes up until the end of November.  Our daughter Melynie was born January 20, 1974.  I never returned to full-time teaching.
In 1978 I began a whole new career--newspaper reporting.  I worked at three different local newspapers on a part-time basis until 1982 when a friend suggested I try out home teaching.
I was able to combine both careers for quite awhile.  Even ended up at Wheatland High School where I home taught.  Most of my students were from Lindhurst High School or Marysville High School, however.
The most traumatic thing for me was when we had the school shootings at Lindhurst.  I home taught two of the victims who were in the same room where the teacher was killed.  It was hard for all of us but we got through it.
I ended up teaching at a charter school in Marysville and retired in 2002.  I am still writing for a local newspaper.  However, my reporting days are over.
My husband Roger retired from Cal-Trans in 2003.  Our daughter lives in Austin, Texas and works for Sherwin-Williams.
My current interests include volunteering at our Yuba City museum. knitting prayer shawls for my church and writing a monthly feature for the Territorial Dispatch.
By the way, I co-authored a book about Yuba City  It was published in July and we are very proud of it.  Yuba City is celebrating its centennial this year and the book was a major part of the year-long festivities.
That's about all I can recall to bring you up to date.  Of course, there was some traveling during those years but nothing too spectacular.

Retired from State service Widowed 1
I left Wheatland after my sophomore year but grew up on Beale so I feel like Wheatland was a large portion of my early life, although it seems like a lifetime ago.

I remember Mindy Bailey, Debbie Beatty and I were the three muscateers for a number of years.

I also remember "Saturday Class" which I attended faithfully (along with Brian Goforth and others).

I have a son who is 33 and living in Virginia - working with IT for the government (he always was a computer geek), I have a step granddaughter who's 12 and a step grandson who is 16 months. Spoiling is the name of the grandma game now.

I worked almost 27 years for the Department of Corrections here in California and retired last year.  I love retirement - my mom and I have an old houseboat on Lake Oroville - my favorite pasttime is fishing (an excuse for doing absolutely nothing but enjoying life).

I haven't kept in touch with anyone from Wheatland so I'm very much looking forward to seeing people at the 40th reunion.

March 30, 1953 Singer/SongCatcher, Recording Artist, Author Divorced 2
Hey folks!  I hope that you are all doing well in these crazy times.  Needless to say, I miss being able to hug family and friends...I need hugs and kisses to live!

I still live in Oakland, CA, and am still writing songs.  My latest album, "Dont't Give Up The Fight!" was released one year ago.  You can find it on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Youtube, etc.

My sons are doing well.  Things are good, except for the Shelter in Place and the CA fire smoke.  I'm still very much into T'ai Chi Ch'uan and am staying healthy.

I recentlty finished my autobiography, MODERN DAY MYSTIC -- Journey of a SongCatcher, which is scheduled to be published sometime between Christmas and next spring.  Stay tuned for release information!

Be safe!!

Ron

My wife and I enjoy traveling and especially like to go on cruise ships, we're working on our 9th cruise and every one has been a blast, even when we were caught in a typhoon with 25 foot seas. Beverly is a teacher and a reading specialist. Our next trip will be New York to visit family and see the city. Looking forward to seeing some of my old "young" classmates, see you there. Currently pics of Daughter Darnita, grandaughter Eygpt and ME!!
Living in Orlando, Fl
With a song in my heart my time spent with our graduating class has been a grand experience. Knowing that our paths are different we all seem to have shared that era of common interest. Learning to stay focus while loving to do what we love to do best...staying on the path and never leaning to someone elses temptation...that may be a mouth full but those who are in touch with self you know where I am coming from.
Currently have one grandaughter who is 3yrs old conversations.......with teenager!!LOL
