Hi Everyone!  I guess you can say that I've come full circle.  After graduating from Wheatland (1971) I joined the US Army and was stationed in Germany for a few years.  When I returned, I worked for Eastern, then United Airlines for over 30 years.  In 2020, I retired due to Covid concerns.  Two months ago (June 2021) my partner and I moved to Lincoln, CA.  It feels like being home again!  A month ago I drove out to Wheatland High School - it hasn't changed too much.  Good times!!

hi all! great job on the web site! after graduation i went to yuba college. it wasn't for me. i joined the air force as an aircraft mechanic. some how i was stationed back to beale. i bought the mobile home from dad. my boss was a cmsgt that lived across the street from me. him and his wife played cards with my dad and mom. do you think my dad and him had anything to do with me getting back to beale? i got married right after basic training. we have been seperated for ten years now. i had a short tour to guam during the war. after the bombers left beale i worked on the sr and u2 until i seperated the af. i re-up'd 10 months later and became a c130 flight engineer. i really got to see the world. i did some very dangerious flying. i was in a crash in alaska and went back to maintenance. i retired from the af with almost 21 years. i went back to college and got my ba. i worked washington state corrections before working and retiring from social security adminstration in 2011. i have a collection of motorcycles that i have restored. in 2016 i was in a bad motorcycle accident. after a few operations i'm walking and riding again. i'm in constant pain, but i have good days!

I glad I came across the web site.  I attended Wheatland High during the tail end of my freshman year and all of my sophomore year.
My mother had a stroke, earlier this year, and in going through all of the "stuff" in her home I ran across a basket ball "spirit" pin that I bought in 1968.  It's hanging on the wall calendar next to my desk, now.  I've also retained my '69 "Fiat Lux" after all these years.
I cut my picture out of the book and laminated it onto a fake Communist Party membership card that I found in "The National Lampoon" and flashed it around in my senior year at my next high school just to mess with some of the administration's heads.  It worked.  I got suspended.
Now we seem to be entering upon equally intolerant and excited times.  I prefer my little farm here in Texas where I live in domestic bliss with my wife of 32 years, God be thanked.
I wish my fellow attendees at WUHS the best of everything and a Happy New Year.

I signed on to the donations page after learning from you that Dan has passed on.  God bless him and keep him.  I remember him as a quiet, sweet individual.

Thank you, Deb, for the opportunities to reconnect and to help our classmates and friends.  I agree that this is a wonderful website.

I try to keep my year book up to date...sad to have lost some very nice folks.  We are part of that "baby boomer" generation. Did we ever think for one moment we would one day be what is considered a "baby boomer"?  I am still trying to figure out what a "baby boomer is!"  We are the 70's generation...and what a great time it was, fantastic music, hippy's, bell bottom pants, and those boots that were made for walking. I would not trade living in that generation for all the tea in China.  It was a grand generation, one kids today will never know.  Life is a lot different today. Heck, my husband and I did not even own a cell phone until last year. Now we wonder how we ever lived without it.  My son was after me for 5 years to get a cell phone. I asked "why?"  Even though I do not use it regularly, I sure would not want to be without it now that I have it.  Especially with the cruel Wisconsin winters...

Anyway...outside of  a body that is wearing out, needing some replacement parts and a lube job...life is great!  I married a couple today who are in their 70's...how special is that?  Beautiful people.

It sure was great when Debbie reached me through my Daughter of all people.  Its funny how we can locate one another these days.  I am sorry I have been unable to be located all these years.  But I was in Las Vegas of all places for 30 years.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion.  If anyone that lives in Florida is interested in getting together for a short visit we can do it. My email is included in this blurp.  Good day everyone and see you next reunion

I get a kick out of reading about everyone - since I had to leave after my Sophomore year I haven't stayed in touch with my Wheatland classmates but it brings back memories of "Saturday class", Mr. Lozano's class--"Que,Que Seniorita" and memories of both classmates and teachers. I appreciate the time that has been taken on constructing this website - good work.
